G. Mathias Kondolf is professor of fluvial geomorphology at the Department of Landscape Architecture, UC Berkeley. He has been involved in SHIFTING SHORES since the origin of the project. SHIFTING SHORES kicked off in May 2019 with an international workshop in Berkeley, California (USA) titled “The Social Life of the Sediment Balance”.

 

RIUS – Fluvial Dynamics Research Group (Universitat de Lleida)

Fluvial geomorphologist Ramon Batalla (University of Lleida) collaborates with SHIFTING SHORES in the study of the Ebro River. Ramon Batalla is a Senior Lecturer in Physical Geography at the University of Lleida (UdL), and Senior Researcher on Hydrological Processes at the Catalan Institute for Water Research (ICRA).

 

Laboratoire Environnement, Ville Société du CNRS (Université de Lyon)

Hervé Piégay is a geographer and CNRS Research Director at the Laboratoire EVS du CNRS (Université de Lyon). Together with other researchers at the Lab EVS like Fanny Arnaud and and Yves-François Lelay, Piégay collaborates with SHIFTING SHORES in the study of the Rhône River.
